1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to the State Treasurer; to authorize the
2 participation for certain entities in trusts or investment pools
3 established by the State Treasurer.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. (1) For purposes of this section, (a) eligible entity
2 means any governmental, public, or quasi-public entity, joint public
3 agency created pursuant to the Joint Public Agency Act, or joint entity
4 created pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act, located in this
5 state, including, but not limited to, an entity designated as a political
6 subdivision, vested with taxing authority, or whose membership is wholly
7 comprised by such entities and funds created by such entities and (b)
8 eligible entity does not include the State of Nebraska or any department,
9 division, office, board, commission, or other agency of the state, or any
10 court, constitutional office, or elected or appointed officer of the
11 state.
12 (2) Any eligible entity is authorized to participate in a trust or
13 investment pool established by the office of the State Treasurer. The
14 State Treasurer shall administer and oversee such trust or investment
15 pool.
