1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to state intent regarding
2 appropriations; and to declare an emergency.
3 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to appropriate an
2 additional $600,000 from the General Fund for FY2023-24 and an additional
3 $600,000 from the General Fund for FY2024-25 to the Supreme Court, Agency
4 5, for Court Administration, Program No. 34, to increase the payments for
5 interpreter services for deaf and hard of hearing persons and for persons
6 unable to communicate the English language, which shall only be used for
7 such purpose.
8 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
9 passed and approved according to law.
