1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to schools; to provide for a moment of silence
2 in public schools as prescribed; and to provide a duty to the State
3 Department of Education.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. (1) The Legislature finds that students can benefit from
2 an opportunity for a moment of quiet reflection.
3 (2) The State Department of Education shall provide guidance to
4 school districts that decide to provide a moment of silence each school
5 day on the best way to implement such policy.
