1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to state intent regarding
2 appropriations to the Department of Veterans' Affairs; and to
3 declare an emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to appropriate
2 $8,000,000 from the General Fund for FY2023-24 to the Department of
3 Veterans' Affairs for purposes of construction and improvements to the
4 state veteran cemetery system facility in the city of Grand Island.
5 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
6 passed and approved according to law.
