Additionally, the bill mandates that developers must declare under penalty of perjury that they have not entered into any NDAs that violate this chapter as part of their application to an agency. Violations can lead to the suspension or revocation of permits or approvals, and agencies that breach this law may face civil penalties of up to one thousand dollars per violation. The act is set to take effect upon filing with the secretary of state and will expire on June 30, 2027.
