This bill mandates a legislative management study focused on the environmental and public health risks associated with oil and chemical spills on state highways within the Fort Berthold Reservation during the 2025-26 interim. The study will involve collaboration with the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation, as well as input from the department of environmental quality and the department of health and human services.

Upon completion of the study, the legislative management is required to report its findings and recommendations to the seventieth legislative assembly, including any necessary legislation to implement those recommendations.
