Additionally, the bill mandates the director of the office of management and budget to conduct an analysis of office space within the capitol. This analysis will identify state agencies that occupy excess space due to the shift towards hybrid and remote work arrangements over the past five years. The director is tasked with providing recommendations for consolidating office space, including hoteling options and the reduction of meeting and conference room space. Furthermore, the director will suggest appropriate workspace locations for the temporary legislative assistants and must submit these recommendations to the legislative management by August 15, 2026.
