1 A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact section 57-51.1-07.9 of the North Dakota Century
2 Code, relating to revenue deposited in the state energy research center fund; to provide for a
3 continuing appropriation; and to provide an expiration date.
4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
5 SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Section 57-51.1-07.9 of the North Dakota Century Code is
6 amended and reenacted as follows:
7 57-51.1-07.9. State energy research center fund - Continuing appropriation. (Effective
8 through June 30, 20292033)
9 The state energy research center fund is a special fund in the state treasury. Before
10 depositing oil and gas gross production tax and oil extraction tax revenues under section
11 57-51.1-07.5, one percent of the revenues must be deposited monthly into the state energy
12 research center fund, up to seven million five hundred thousandten million dollars per biennium.
13 All moneys deposited in the state energy research center fund and interest on all such moneys
14 are appropriated on a continuing basis to the industrial commission for distribution to the state
15 energy research center. The state energy research center shall use the funds in accordance
16 with section 15-11-40.
