1 A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact section 43-47-03 of the North Dakota Century Code,
2 relating to the duties and responsibilities of the board of counselor examiners.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Section 43-47-03 of the North Dakota Century Code is
5 amended and reenacted as follows:
6 43-47-03. Duties and responsibilities of board.
7 In addition to the duties set forth elsewhere in this chapter, the board shall:
8 1. Publish an annual list of the names and addresses of all persons licensed under this
9 chapter.
10 2. Approve and administer an examination for counselors.
11 3. Set, by rule, and collect a fee for the:
12 a. The filing of each application for a license under this chapter and set, by rule, and
13 collect a fee for the;
14 b. The renewal of a license under this chapter;
15 c. The provision of a duplicate license under this chapter; and
16 d. Technology services.
17 4. Deposit and disburse all fees and moneys collected by the board in accordance with
18 section 54-44-12.
19 5. Establish continuing education requirements for license renewal.
20 6. Issue provisional or probationary licenses.
21 7. Establish a code of ethics for the practice of counseling.
22 8. Adopt rules as necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter.
