1 A BILL for an Act to create and enact two new sections to chapter 50-06 of the North Dakota
2 Century Code, relating to a mental health provider registry and a behavioral health bed
3 management system.
4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
5 SECTION 1. A new section to chapter 50-06 of the North Dakota Century Code is created
6 and enacted as follows:
7 Mental health provider registry.
8 The department shall establish and maintain a registry of mental health providers in the
9 state. The department shall make the registry available to the public on the department's
10 website.
11 SECTION 2. A new section to chapter 50-06 of the North Dakota Century Code is created
12 and enacted as follows:
13 Behavioral health bed management system.
14 The department shall establish and maintain a behavioral health bed management system
15 to improve utilization of behavioral health beds. Public and private providers of residential and
16 inpatient behavioral health services shall report to the department the information necessary to
17 participate in the behavioral health bed management system.
