Short Title: Funds for Town of Hope Mills. (Public)

2 AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO THE TOWN OF HOPE MILLS FOR CRITICAL
3 INFRASTRUCTURE.
4 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
5 SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State
6 Budget and Management the sum of fourteen million six hundred forty-eight thousand seven
7 hundred thirty dollars ($14,648,730) in nonrecurring funds for the 2024-2025 fiscal year to
8 provide a directed grant to the Town of Hope Mills to purchase a Crack Seal trailer and refurbish
9 an asphalt reclaiming trailer for operations throughout the Town. These funds may so be used for
10 the following: (i) support contracted work to complete a full-depth replacement of 360 linear feet
11 of roadway in two neighborhoods, (ii) support two current projects engineered for full-depth
12 replacement and stormwater system installation, and (iii) provide for the replacement of a failing
13 stormwater system in one neighborhood.
14 SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2024.
