2 AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO EXPAND REFUELING AND VEHICLE
3 MAINTENANCE CAPABILITIES AT THE STATE HIGHWAY PATROL STATION IN
4 HUNTERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA.
5 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
6 SECTION 1.(a) There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of
7 Public Safety the sum of six hundred forty-three thousand one hundred fifty dollars ($643,150)
8 in nonrecurring funds for the 2024-2025 fiscal year to be used for the following purposes at the
9 State Highway Patrol Station in Huntersville, North Carolina:
10 (1) Six hundred forty thousand dollars ($640,000) for fuel infrastructure to
11 include an above-ground storage tank, fuel dispenser, FuelMaster Live
12 functionality, and a concrete island with an awning, lights, and electrical
13 outlets.
14 (2) Three thousand dollars ($3,000) for an air compressor for filling tires to be
15 located on the concrete island funded in subdivision (1) of this section.
16 (3) One hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for a vehicle vacuum to be located on the
17 concrete island funded in subdivision (1) of this section.
18 SECTION 1.(b) The Department of Public Safety shall enter into a memorandum of
19 agreement with the Department of Transportation for the creation, use, and maintenance of the
20 items funded by this section.
21 SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2024.
