2 AN ACT TO REMOVE CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTY FROM THE CORPORATE
3 LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF ANDREWS.
4 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
5 SECTION 1. The following described property is removed from the corporate limits
6 of the Town of Andrews:
7 BEGINNING on a Black Gum Tree, a comer common to Jack Long, and runs thence
8 N 6-17 E 169.50 feet to a dead Pine on the south margin of Leatherwood Road; thence with the
9 margin of Leatherwood Road, N 76-06 E 58.50 feet; N 39-57 E 90.85 feet; and N 61-29 E 90.98
10 feet; thence leaving the road and running up and with the ridge S 89-58 E 73.30 feet to a stake;
11 thence S 67-11 E 135.80 feet to a stake; S 0-43 E 88.84 feet to a stake; S 45-21 E 105.26 feet to
12 a stake; thence S 53-23 E 112.26 feet to a stake; thence S 37-42 E 107.37 feet to a stake; thence
13 S 37-18 E 94.32 feet to a stake; thence S 40-08 E 51.95 feet to a stake, a comer common to D.
14 Bruce West; thence S 8-18 E 149.83 feet to a stake; thence S 1-34 W 124.25 feet to a stake;

26 fence line; thence with a fence line, S 86-02 E 693.86 feet to the BEGINNING.
27 SECTION 2. This act has no effect upon the validity of any liens of the Town of
28 Andrews for ad valorem taxes or special assessments outstanding before the effective date of this
29 act. Such liens may be collected or foreclosed upon after the effective date of this act as though
30 the property were still within the corporate limits of the Town of Andrews.
31 SECTION 3. This act becomes effective June 30, 2024. Property in the territory
32 described in Section 1 of this act as of January 1, 2024, is no longer subject to municipal taxes
33 for taxes imposed for taxable years beginning on or after July 1, 2024.
