2 AN ACT TO ALLOW A SELLER OF A MANUFACTURED SIGN TO REPOSSESS THE
3 SIGN IF THE BUYER FAILS TO PAY.
4 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
5 SECTION 1. Article 2 of Chapter 25 of the General Statutes is amended by adding
6 a new section to read:
7 "§ 25-2-703.1. Repossession of manufactured sign.
8 If a buyer of a manufactured sign fails to make a payment in violation of a contract with the
9 seller of the sign, the seller may repossess the sign so long as the seller does not breach the peace.
10 The seller may also exercise any other lawful remedy. This section applies even if the sign is
11 affixed to real property."
12 SECTION 2. This act becomes effective October 1, 2023.
