This bill amends Section 20-20-109 of the Montana Code Annotated (MCA) to revise the qualifications for election judges in school district elections. The current requirement that election judges must be qualified registered electors of the school district in which they serve is modified to allow for greater flexibility. Specifically, if a county election administrator agrees to conduct an election, election judges may also be qualified registered electors from the county where the election is being held.

Additionally, the bill maintains existing restrictions on who can serve as an election judge, prohibiting candidates and their close relatives from serving in this capacity. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage and approval, ensuring that the revised qualifications can be implemented without delay.
