This bill proposes to eliminate the option for family day-care providers, group day-care providers, and registered family, friend, and neighbor (FFN) providers to decline enrollment of children who have a medical or religious exemption from vaccination requirements. The bill directs the amendment of ARM 37.95.805, which outlines the conditions under which children can be exempt from vaccinations. Currently, these providers have the discretion to enroll children with such exemptions, but the new legislation mandates that they must accept all children regardless of their vaccination status, provided they meet the exemption criteria.

Additionally, the bill includes an appropriation of $500 from the general fund to the Department of Public Health and Human Services to cover the costs associated with notifying registered family day-care homes and group day-care homes about this change. The effective date of the bill is set for the first day following the final adjournment of the 69th regular legislative session.
