WHEREAS, the Missouri House of Representatives recognizes the importance of 2 empowering citizens to actively participate in the democratic process; and 3 4 WHEREAS, the Missouri Association of Counties will be gathering at the State 5 Capitol to promote county government and meet with state legislators as part of the annual 6 Missouri Association of Counties Legislative Day: 7 8 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we, the members of the Missouri 9 House of Representatives, One Hundred Third General Assembly, grant the Missouri 10 Association of Counties permission to use the House Chamber on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, 11 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m.; and 12 13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sponsor of this House Resolution, 14 Representative Peggy McGaugh, or her designee, shall be present in the House Chamber and 15 shall assume responsibility for the group's actions for the duration of the aforementioned 16 event. 17 18 Special note: Participants in the aforementioned event shall conduct themselves in a manner 19 that preserves the dignity and honor of the House of Representatives. Such persons shall 20 behave respectfully and dress appropriately for the occasion. Food items, drinks, and 21 smoking are prohibited on the floor of the House and lower gallery, and participants shall 22 refrain from any conduct that diminishes the decorum of the House Chamber. 23 Access to the dais is limited to the Speaker's podium for purposes of using the 24 microphone to speak to those assembled. Access to the staff area behind the rostrum is 25 prohibited. 26 Group photographs; the hanging of any banners or other items on the walls, curtains, 27 or any surface within the House Chamber; and the use of any equipment, including 28 computers, phones, or other items on the dais and rostrum area, are also prohibited. ✔
