WHEREAS, the General Assembly has a long tradition of granting the use of the 2 House of Representatives Chamber for mock legislative workshops conducted by civic 3 organizations; and 4 5 WHEREAS, the Missouri YMCA Youth in Government Program is an educational 6 experience in state government for high school students across the state by allowing such 7 students to participate in mock legislative hearings and floor discussions of current issues that 8 are of interest to high school students: 9 10 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we, the members of the Missouri 11 House of Representatives, One Hundred Third General Assembly, hereby grant the YMCA 12 Youth in Government Program use of the House Chamber on Friday, November 13, 2026, 13 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., through Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 14 p.m., for the YMCA Youth In Government Lewis State Convention; 15 16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Missouri House of Representatives grants 17 the YMCA Youth in Government Program use of the House Chamber and House Hearing 18 Rooms on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., through Saturday, 19 November 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., for the YMCA Youth in Government Clark 20 State Convention; 21 22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Missouri House of Representatives grants 23 the YMCA Youth in Government Program use of the House Chamber and House Hearing 24 Rooms on Friday, December 4, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., through Saturday, 25 December 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., for the YMCA Youth in Government Clark 26 State Convention; 27 HR 4061 2
28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sponsor of this House Resolution, 29 Representative Mackey, or his designee, shall be present in the House Chamber and shall 30 assume responsibility for the group's actions for the duration of the aforementioned event. 31 32 Special note: Participants in the aforementioned event shall conduct themselves in a manner 33 that preserves the dignity and honor of the House of Representatives. Such persons shall 34 behave respectfully and dress appropriately for the occasion. Food items, drinks, and 35 smoking are prohibited on the floor of the House and lower gallery, and participants shall 36 refrain from any conduct that diminishes the decorum of the House Chamber. 37 Access to the dais is limited to the Speaker's podium for purposes of using the 38 microphone to speak to those assembled. Access to the staff area behind the rostrum is 39 prohibited. 40 Group photographs; the hanging of any banners or other items on the walls, curtains, 41 or any surface within the House Chamber; and the use of any equipment, including 42 computers, phones, or other items on the dais and rostrum area, are also prohibited. ✔
