           WHEREAS, the ownership of the Kansas City Chiefs has expressed their intent to
 2 relocate the team to Kansas in 2031; and
 3
 4         WHEREAS, many Missourians feel a sense of ownership of the Kansas City Chiefs
 5 due to their long tenure in the state:
 6
 7         NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the House of
 8 Representatives of the One Hundred Third General Assembly, Second Regular Session, the
 9 Senate concurring therein, hereby support the appropriation of money sufficient to purchase
10 the Kansas City Chiefs; and
11
12         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the money appropriated for the purchase of the
13 Kansas City Chiefs should be recouped through the sale of shares of the team to Missouri
14 residents; and
15
16         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of
17 Representatives be instructed to prepare a properly inscribed copy of this resolution for the
18 Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives, the President Pro Tempore of the Missouri
19 Senate, the Governor, and the owners of the Kansas City Chiefs.
