Currently, the Missouri Constitution states that a valid and recognized marriage in this State must be between a man and a woman.
Upon voter approval, this proposed constitutional amendment would make a valid and recognized marriage in this State between two persons regardless of their genders.
This bill is similar to HJR 70 (2025) and HJR 121 (2024).
