HB 2784 -- DEATHS OCCURRING WITHIN A DEPT OF CORRECTIONS FACILITY

This bill requires the Missouri State Highway Patrol to conduct an independent death investigation when any person under 55 years of age dies in a Department of Corrections facility. In conducting the investigation, the Patrol must be granted full access to autopsy findings and records.

This bill is similar to HB 1000 (2025).
