HB 2696 -- EXPENDITURES OF CIRCUIT COURTS

SPONSOR: Gragg

Currently, expenditures of circuit courts, except for those salaries that are payable by the State, are paid out of the county budget in which the court is held.

This bill requires circuit court expenditures to be paid by the treasury of the State in the same manner as other demands.

The bill repeals several provisions describing the process of creating and approving the court's budget at the county level.
