This bill allows for students to possess and self-apply sunscreen or if the student is unable to self-apply a school employee can apply the sunscreen if there is written consent from a parent or guardian. The bill provides an exemption from liability for school employees for adverse reactions to sunscreen application or discontinuation of application.
This bill is similar to HB 2331 (2026).
