This bill establishes the "Missouri Geospatial Advisory Council", within the Office of Administration. The Council will consist of 34 members, the makeup of which is provided in the bill. Additional subject matter experts may participate in activities as non-council members. Members of the Council will serve three- year terms without compensation and must serve until their successors are appointed.
The Council will meet monthly and as otherwise required. The Council can apply for Federal and State grants to sponsor and publish surveys and to solicit or develop proposals for projects related to state geospatial data infrastructure and workforce.
The duties of the council are provided in the bill.
This bill is similar to SB 959 (2026)and HB 71 (2025).
