This bill allows third class cities to adopt ordinances that would require contracts for legal services between the city and an attorney to be limited to three years and require the contract to be rebid every third year.
The ordinance will be effective only if approved by voters of the city, and may be submitted to voters either by a vote of the governing body of the city council, or by a petition calling for a vote on the measure, as provided in the bill.
