Currently, noncommercial motor vehicles are issued two license plates. This bill removes the requirement for a front license plate, and the Department of Revenue will issue only one license plate.
The bill requires an owner whose motor vehicle has a front license plate on August 28, 2026, to surrender the front license plate to the Department.
