This bill authorizes the supervisor of Alcohol and Tobacco Control, within the Department of Public Safety, and any of its employees designated as police officers to make arrests and perform searches and seizures when exigent circumstances that present an immediate threat of bodily harm to any person exist.
The bill also authorizes the State fire marshal, within the Department of Public Safety, and the marshal's paid investigators to make arrests when exigent circumstances that present an immediate threat of bodily harm to any person exist.
