HJR 136 -- CONTINUING COMMITTEES

Upon voter approval, this constitutional amendment would prohibit the name or image of any candidate for public office from appearing on any advertisement or printed material paid for by a continuing committee, including a political action committee, and it would prohibit a continuing committee from expressing support for or opposition to candidates for public office in any advertisement or printed material. A continuing committee that violates this must issue a retraction that is as similar as practicable to the violating material in cost, size, scope, medium, time, and place.

This bill is similar to HJR 84 (2025).
