Upon voter approval, this constitutional amendment dissolves the Highways and Transportation Commission and transfers all of its duties and responsibilities to the Department of Transportation to be overseen by a director appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate.
This bill is similar to HJR 45 (2025).
