This bill requires the State Auditor to perform audits for economy and efficiency once every four years on each state department, the General Assembly, the Judiciary, and the executive branch offices. Results of these audits must be posted on the public website of each public agency and the State Auditor must submit the results of each audit to the General Assembly.
This bill is similar to HB 869 (2025); and HB 1822 (2024).
