SB 1289 - This act increases the motor vehicle liability coverage a person must carry as follows:

• From $25,000 to $50,000, because of bodily injury to or death of one person in any one accident;

• From $50,000 to $100,000, because of bodily injury to or 19 death of two or more persons in any one accident; and

• From $25,000 to $50,000, because of injury to or destruction of property of others in any one accident.

Any underinsured motor vehicle coverage shall be construed to provide coverage in excess of the liability coverage of any motor vehicle involved in the accident.
