This bill specifies that a person commits the offense of unlawful possession of a firearm if the person knowingly has any firearm in his or her possession and the person is younger than 18 years of age and is on public property, unless he or she has completed the hunter education course that is required to obtain a hunting permit in this state.
This bill is the same as HB 528 (2025).
