Currently, most motor vehicles are registered annually or biennially. This bill allows owners of farm vehicles and vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 or more to choose to permanently register those vehicles for seven times the cost of an annual registration. Permanent plates are vehicle specific and cannot be transferred to later owners.
