SB 19 - Current law provides that the State Tax Commission shall be composed of three members to be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. This act provides that, upon the expiration of the term of a member of the Commission, in lieu of an appointment by the Governor, the vacancy on the Commission shall be filled at the next general election day by a vote of the people.Members elected to the Commission pursuant to this act shall serve two year terms, and no person shall serve as a member for more than six terms. Each commissioner elected pursuant to this act shall hold office until his or her successor shall qualify.
