AN ACT To amend chapter 43, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to highway patrol crash reports.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 43, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be 2 known as section 43.255, to read as follows: 43.255. Crash reports prepared by the Missouri state highway patrol shall 2 include an "alcohol use" field used to record whether any motor vehicle driver involved 3 in a crash is suspected to have used alcohol. The alcohol use field on the report shall 4 contain three checkboxes, which shall be marked by the investigating officer as follows: 5 (1) Yes, if use of alcohol on the part of the driver is suspected; 6 (2) No, if use of alcohol on the part of the driver is not suspected; or 7 (3) Unknown, if use of alcohol on the part of the driver is unknown. ✔
