HB 1519 -- DISTRIBUTION OF CERTAIN WINE EXCISE TAX REVENUES

Currently, an excise tax is imposed on the sale of wine at a rate of .42 cents per gallon, with .30 cents credited to the Agriculture Protection Fund and .12 cents credited to the Missouri Wine and Grape Fund.

Beginning July 1, 2026, the excise tax of .42 cents per gallon of wine must be split evenly between the Agriculture Protection Fund and the Missouri Wine and Grape Fund, with each fund receiving .21 cents.

This bill is the same as SB 753 (2025).
