HB 1500 -- THE PRACTICE OF APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS

Currently, an applicant for a license to practice as a licensed behavioral analyst has to have passed an examination and been certified as a board-certified behavior analyst by a certifying entity.

This bill allows the applicant to have passed an examination and been certified by the qualified applied behavior analysis credentialing board as a qualified behavioral analyst. The applicant must also provide proof that he or she has an active status as a qualified behavior analyst.

Currently, an applicant for a license to practice as a licensed assistant behavioral analyst has to have passed an examination and been certified as a board-certified assistant behavior analyst by a certifying entity.

This bill allows the applicant to have passed an examination and been certified by the qualified applied behavior analysis credentialing board as a qualified autism services practitioner- supervisor. The applicant must also she proof that he or she has an active status as a qualified autism services practitioner- supervisor.
