HB 1482 -- FUNDS FOR MEMORIALS AND MUSEUMS DEDICATED TO VETERANS

This bill provides that funds totaling no more than $500,000 from the Veterans Commission Capital Improvement Trust Fund will be used for the restoration, renovation, and maintenance of a memorial or museum dedicated to Missouri and United States veterans in Perry County.

This bill is the same as SB 745 (2025).

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the Missouri's National Veterans Memorial is an amazing place that truly honors our veterans. This will create a path for the Missouri National Veterans Memorial to work with the state to expand its museum.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
