                                               AN ACT
    To amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to Leroy Robert
          "Satchel" Paige day.


    Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

           Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be
2   known as section 9.415, to read as follows:
           9.415. June eighth each year is hereby designated as "Leroy Robert 'Satchel'
2   Paige Day" in Missouri. The citizens of this state are encouraged to participate in
3   appropriate events and activities to celebrate the life and accomplishments of Satchel
4   Paige, a Negro Leagues and Major League Baseball player and member of the National
5   Baseball Hall of Fame. Paige holds the records for oldest player to debut in Major
6   League Baseball at forty-two years old and the oldest player to play in a Major League
7   Baseball game at fifty-nine years old.
