COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Corrections and Public Institutions by a vote of 9 to 0, with 4 voting present.
This bill allows members of the General Assembly and other elected officials with office space in the State Capitol building the authority to display both the State and national flags outside of their office doors.
This bill is similar to HB 1402 (2024).
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that being able to display the flag lets people show pride in their home and nation, Missouri pride, gratitude and respect for veterans, and a commitment to never forget those who fought for their country.
