This bill amends the provisions of the law relating to smoking regulations, known as the "Indoor Clean Air Act", to provide that the smoking of marijuana will be subject to the same regulations and controls as the smoking of tobacco. This bill also amends Section 290.145, RSMo, to provide, in addition to the lawful use of alcohol or tobacco, it must be improper employment practice to refuse to hire, to discharge, or to otherwise disadvantage any employee for the lawful use of marijuana, unless such use interferes with the duties and performance of the employee.
This bill is the same as HB 785 (2023).
