HB 1178 -- CUSTOMER CHARGES BY ELECTRIC UTILITIES

The bill prohibits an electrical corporation, municipal utility, or electrical cooperative from charging more than one customer charge, as defined in the bill, per postal address. However, the utility can charge more than one customer charge for up to 12 months following the installation of a new meter.
