Currently, the Missouri Constitution states that a valid and recognized marriage in this State must be between a man and a woman.
Upon voter approval, this proposed Constitutional amendment would make a valid and recognized marriage in this State between two persons regardless of their genders.
This bill is the same as HJR 121 (2024) and HJR 53 (2023).
