This bill establishes the "Police Officer David Lee Memorial Highway" on the portion of Interstate 70 from Carrie Avenue continuing east to Adelaide Avenue in St. Louis City.
The Department of Transportation will erect and maintain appropriate signs with the costs to be paid by the Department of Transportation.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that Officer Lee gave his life in the line of duty and this would be a great way to honor his legacy and pay respects to his surviving family members.
Testifying in person for the bill were Representative Anderson; Donnell Moore, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department; Danielle Williams; John Bowman, NAACP St. Louis County.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
