This bill requires a mental health facility that has received a patient transfer from a correctional facility to contact an appropriate law enforcement official prior to releasing the patient from the facility, at which point the law enforcement official is required to make an inquiry to determine whether the patient has an active warrant for his or her arrest before the patient can be released.
