AN ACT Relating to a constitutional convention.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
WHEREAS, Article XII, Section 3(a) of the Constitution of Missouri provides that 2 the question of whether the people desire a constitutional convention shall appear on the 3 general election ballot every twenty years; and 4 5 WHEREAS, Article XII, Section 3(a) also provides that the general assembly by law 6 may also cause the question of whether the people desire a constitutional convention to 7 appear on the general election ballot at times other than every twenty years; and 8 9 WHEREAS, the general assembly finds that a constitutional convention is necessary 10 and desires to exercise its right to place the question of a constitutional convention on the 11 ballot: 12 13 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the House of 14 Representatives of the One Hundred Third General Assembly, First Regular Session, the 15 Senate concurring therein, hereby direct the Secretary of State to place the question, "Shall 16 there be a convention to revise and amend the constitution?" on the November 3, 2026, 17 general election ballot; and 18 19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be sent to the Governor for his 20 approval or rejection pursuant to the Missouri Constitution. ✔
