This bill makes the knowing possession, manufacturing, transporting, repairing, or selling of a high capacity magazine, meaning a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition, a class D felony. It is not an offense under the provisions of this bill if the conduct was done in conformity with the exemptions provided in the bill.
This bill is the same as HB 1685 (2024)and is similar to HB 319 (2023).
