COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Economic Development by a vote of 13 to 0. Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Rules-Administrative by a vote of 7 to 0.

Numerous fees collected by the Secretary of State and credited to the Secretary of State's Technology Trust Fund are set to expire in 2026. This bill extends the date of expiration on these funds to 2030.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the extension of the sunset will allow for continued updates to technology without using general revenue. Supporters say this Technology Trust Fund is sufficient to cover technology update needs and unforeseen costs.

Testifying in person for the bill were Representative Banderman; Daniel Wilhelm, Business Services, Missouri Secretary of State .

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee in person.
