SPONSOR: Hurlbert
This bill enacts "The Foreign Unmanned Aircraft Law", prohibiting public entities from purchasing or acquiring small unmanned aircraft systems manufactured or assembled by certain foreign entities. Public entities will also be prohibited from using such unmanned aircraft systems after May 1, 2027. The Director of the Department of Public Safety can grant exceptions as specified in the bill.
This bill is similar to SB 296 (2025).
