This bill repeals the increase in the minimum wage rate. Currently, the minimum wage rate is $13.75 per hour and there is an increase in the hourly rate each year of $1.25 to $15.00 per hour beginning on January 1, 2026. Under the bill, the minimum wage rates that existed as of December 31, 2024 would apply, which means the minimum wage rate would be $12.00 per hour. Successive increases in the minimum wage rate would be adjusted based on the cost of living, as reflected in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers published by the U.S. Department of Labor.
